Chapter 2
A group of bodyguards follow us at all times. People look at us from top to bottom and it is no wonder we have more security than the president of Germany.
Wendy jumps in excitement as she enters the evening dress store. I'm not in the mood for any of this. Sabrina is a control freak. I have a room full of ball gowns, shoes of all kinds, handbags of all sizes and colours. And not to mention the jewelry.
"Wendy, I don't need anything." I mutter wearily as I watch her bring a couple of dresses for me. We spend the entire afternoon looking for unnecessary things.
My sister-in-law takes me by my hand as we prepare to enter the property. Six tortuous years caged me in this place, six years under the mandate and orders of Sabrina Schulz. People call me lucky to have the love of the most powerful mobster on the continent. However, I would not call it love. Dad reproaches me because according to him I haven't given Sabrina a chance. He's a good man who loves and adores me, but no. I can't love someone who has broken and tortured me at all the time.
I look at Wendy impatiently as I open the door and find everything quiet.
"Surprise!" I jumped back when I heard excited screams of people. Sabrina's social circle. Mobsters, murderers and whores are there to celebrate my twenty-sixth birthday. My father comes smiling with his mistress and I want to avoid them.
Sabrina hugs me and places countless kisses on my mouth in front of everyone. He hands me a box and I try to make a face of excitement and surprise when I see a diamond necklace in it.
"Is this beautiful, love?" Sabrina kisses me passionately.
There is a gathering of the Mafia leaders and their wives here to celebrate my birthday with lies and falsehoods.
Two of the German's trusted bodyguards don't let me go for a minute. All the people want to congratulate me, and I just want this to be over.
Sabrina holds my hand tight and I know he means this. I have to behave or his submission session consisting of punches will make me obey.
"As beautiful as ever, ma'am." Dimitri, Sabrina's best friend, greets me. The German drags me back to him.
"Don't smile at him again! I don't want you near them! You are mine, you understood?"
He growls in my ear, making me feel shaky from inside. I try to hold my ground so I don't break into tears in front of a crowd. I walk to the backyard, the dress, the necklace everything is suffocating me.
I want to escape from this whole charade, from this whole pack of idiots who only treat me well because I'm Sabrina Schulz's wife.
I bring my hands to my head, everything turns me around, the guards who watch the south wing look at me with determination. They know I've tried to escape before and they won't let me leave from here.
I can't stand it anymore. I can't stand the German touching me. It's nauseating to feel how he sinks into me, how he kisses me as if I were the most wonderful thing in the world.
I have the right to love, to choose who to give my life to. However, my father took away my right, he took away the joy and happiness that I deserved. I don't have a princess tale, here there is no knight in shining armor to save me.
"Everything okay, ma'am?" Jason, the head guard asks me and I just nod.
I enter the room again, they are all a pack of wolves. Sabrina is drunk as hell and all I want is to rest, wake up the next day and realize this was all just a nightmare.
I listen to the sound of music, people sing happy birthday to me and there's nothing happy about this. Sabrina puts his hands on my butt, people take pictures of us and I try to really smile and try to stay strong.
My husband takes me by the hand and leads me to the dance floor. A romantic song plays and I move to the rhythm of the music.
"You are everything to me, lieben."
"Love"
"And you for me, Sabrina." I respond quickly.
Sabrina kisses me wildly, I hear the applause and tears slipping down my cheeks. I feel caged, abandoned and hurt.
"Toast for my wife,” a group of waiters enter, handing out glasses of wine to everyone. "She is my life, the queen of this house, she is everything to me, I ask a toast for Mrs. Schulz." Sabrina kisses me again and whispers, "Let's get out of here." I tense because I know what that means.
I walk past Sabrina in front of all the guests, my legs are heavy, I don't want to be alone with him.He closes the kitchen door, pushes my body onto the concrete island. He pulls my dress up to my hips quickly. I hear the fumbling of his pants, it's inevitable, I'm too coward to stop him. My body moves forward as his member invades my privacy.
The growls reach my ears, I cling to the cold ceramics of the island, Sabrina grabs my hair pulling me to him. I stop breathing when he squeezes my hips and the penetration becomes much deeper. All I want him to die.
"I love you, princess."
I lower my dress to cover my nakedness when he has finally come. Sabrina pulls me to his chest and kisses my forehead. This is him, a man who loves me so much without knowing that he kills me every day.
As soon as we leave the kitchen, a group of mariachis enters the residence singing the song. I have always had a fascination with Mexican culture. When one of the Mariachis puts their hat on me, I am astonished, my eyes are wide open. Sabrina joins his hand with mine. I am too focused on the group playing the rancheras that I don't notice when the body of Wendy, Sabrina's sister falls from the second floor lifeless.
Suddenly, I hear the screams of terror from the guests. Sabrina freezes at the sight of his sister's bloodied body. My father runs towards me, but I'm too scared. Sabrina leaves my hand to run to his sister. I watch as her body is torn to shreds, a knife slashes through her chest. That's when chaos breaks loose.
Mercenaries enter, shooting everywhere. I stifle a scream as Jason lowers my head to get me out of the mansion, watching the inert bodies of people fall to the ground.
The German mobster wields his gold-and-diamond-plated nine-millimeter pistol tightly. His men protect him so he doesn't get hurt. Sabrina looks at me and nods. I'm dragged out.
In this scene, the women scream in terror, my father is injured, and I see someone helping him escape. He doesn’t seem to care whether his woman is alive or dead.
Someone drags the body of Wendy Schulz, my skin chills as a group of hooded men run towards me; I try to get out of there and escape into the forest, but it is impossible.
A stocky six-foot-tall man squats in front of me, a tarantula-shaped tattoo on his neck. He smiles broadly showing off his whitish teeth and that's when I know things have gotten dreadful.
“Sabrina Schulz.” He blurts out my name with such arrogance and I know he won't hesitate to pull the trigger and end my life.
I remain silent. A redheaded woman appears in the middle of a group of men. She sees me trembling on the floor with my dress in tatters and laughs.
“Die mafia-Schlampe.”
"The Mob Bitch."
“That's me.” I answer bravely.
The woman snorts. "I hope you have that same smile when he's ripping you apart." everyone behind her scoffs.
I get up from the floor, straighten my dress and face her. “And I hope you're still arrogant when Sabrina slits you open alive.”
The woman erases her smile.
I hear applause from someone, everyone looks at each other and I smile when I see Sabrina leaving the mansion with a group of men at his side.
The woman tenses up and tries to flee. However, a bullet pierces her left shoulder causing her to fall. From one moment to another all the men who held me fell lifeless to the floor.
I run to Sabrina and hug him. I need him to get me out of here and to a safe place. The German holds me tight. I can't stand anything from him, but now all I need is to be safe. The woman's screams reach my ears, but it is inevitable, they will torture her until she spill out everything, who sent her here and why.

Chapter 3I cling to the leather seat of the German's private plane. We have traveled to Berlin for the safety of the family and apparently a war has broken out with the Italian mafia.“Meine Schönheit, my sister has died because of Giorgio Jean Luca, we have come to this city to protect you. You will always be the most dearest thing to me.” Sabrina says while taking a sip of cognac. He looks tired and I can see the pain reflected in his eyes. Wendy, only twenty-four years old, was the only living blood relative of the German. When her parents died at the hands of the Irish mob, the mobster took over the charge of her little sister and the family business.“We will be fine.” I speak holding his hand.We are greeted by a group of men at the airport before walking through the German police. These men do not know what a couple of bills can do in this corrupt society. After we moved into our brand-new house, I threw my bag on the king size bed immediately, take off my clothes, and is taki
Chapter 04Sabrina SchulzSay something stupid, say it now before Sabrina realizes you're nervous about a man you don't know and it's obviously not him.“Erick Spencer, Mrs. Schulz.” His blue eyes look at me mockingly. The German is behind him looking at what I would do. I look at Erick's hand and walk past the mobster. Sabrina gives a satisfied half-smile. I hear the bodyguard click his tongue.“My wife is something… special. She doesn't like new people. However, as you know my wife is the most dearest thing to me, much more than my empire.” He sits in the swivel chair at his desk. “That's why you're here Erick, to protect Mrs Schulz. I have hired you because Dimitri, my best friend and lifelong colleague, has given me very positive references from you.” My husband makes me sit on his lap. Erick stares at me and then at his new boss. Sabrina points to the lighter for me to pass it to him, and I do so without delay. He quickly light his cigar."Five years in special services and three
Chapter 5I smooth the fabric of the skirt I'm wearing, the heels today are heavier than usual. I go through the kitchen and eat a little watermelon before getting ready to take a dip in the mansion's pool. Angie brings me some morning cappuccino, the one I love to drink every day. The employees ask me about things in the house and I tell them that they make the decisions, since today I want it to be a day for myself.“The gentleman has gone to close a deal in Bramen.” I try not to smile listening to Gasper, one of his best men."You can go." He turns away, but turns back as if remembering something.“The gentleman left a message—damn,” he says. “He is waiting for her at eight o'clock at night in the restaurant where he took her to dinner for the first time. That she wore the red dress that he liked so much. Dimitri will take her.”I lean back on the beach chair. The bikini I wear Sabrina was bought for me a couple of weeks ago on our trip to Paris. Angie helps me apply sunscreen befo
Chapter 06Sabrina SchulzHis eyes tell me everything.I am confident that I will not be able to save myself from this. My body is being dragged to the punishment room. Angela gets in the way between the door and Sabrina, but a gun to her head drives her back. Erick has his arms crossed and I shake my head when I see his intention to intervene.I close my eyes as I feel the click of the door. From here I can hear Angie's sobs. I tremble as I feel him pass behind me. He walks over to one of the drawers near the window and I gasp as I watch him pull out a riding crop."Kneel down," he exclaims in a tone so icy that it makes hairs on my skin stand on end."Sabrina…" I gasp. The German bit his lower lip before slapping me in the face."Why are you doing this to me, love? I have given you my life for six years, I have built a castle for my queen, and you still don't love me? What do other men have that I don't have?" His lips leave trails of saliva down my cheeks. "But I'm sure of one thin
Chapter 07Sabrina SchulzOut of nowhere it starts to rain.It is as if the world knows the state of mind of the beast, it is as if everything within it can be felt by our surroundings. I walk carefully to get behind him. Erick's words echo over and over in my head. If I can do this, will I be free? I would lose my life if something went wrong, but at least I can try.Water drips all over my dress before Erick sends someone to cover me from the rain. The beast's eyes and nose are red from crying. People look at me since it is not common for me to be away from the German, so I stand next to him so as not to attract attention.I receive a bouquet of red roses for the queen's grave from Angie, the one who deserves only death.“Where were you?” Sabrina asks, holding my hand tightly. I move my feet from side to side as I feel the stinging."I went to get some fresh air… Love, you hurt me." I say trying to reassure him.The priest asks Devora Schulz's only son to give a last word to his mot
Chapter 8Sabrina Schulz.I squeeze my legs as I see how Gian's gaze meets mine. The Italian enters behind him and I feel how my soul theoretically leaves my body. Erick gives me a fleeting smile, whereas the German holds his back straight with arrogance and haughtiness. The blood will flow only if the Italian dies in front of everyone.Gian Lucas says something to his henchman. He just nods. I turn to the side to take Adele by the hand and protect her in case someone gets shot. Sabrina walks up to the Italian, perhaps to provoke him.“I thought you were dead already, Gian. Bad grass never dies, does it?" the German says mockingly."If you die, I'll keep your wife's delicacy, yes?" He answers with the same tone as Sabrina. I can see from here how his body shakes. My heart starts pounding. Erick positions himself in front of me. In one of his ears, he wears a microphone with which he communicates with the rest of the men. As the twins cling to the Italian's arm, Sabrina stands alone, e
Chapter 09Sabrina SchulzThe soul is in a thread.Erick covers my mouth so that I don't make a sound, he gently unites his eyebrows and puts himself on alert. As he releases his hand from my lips, he walks to the door and realizes who he is.Cautiously placing one of his eyes over the hole in the door, he rests each of his hands on the wood of the door. He backs away quickly. "It's Sabrina..." he says with a small mouth and I can swear my heart has stopped beating.I move my eyes to see what we are about to do. However, I am too upset, and if the German beast discovers we are locked in, he knocks again and I panic. I hear the wheels of a cart pulled by a waitress who is passing by and my hands start to shake."Who is in this room?" I hear Sabrina say with a strong German accent. The woman is silent for a few seconds, perhaps because of how intimidating the German is. "That room is unoccupied, do you want to see it?"No…no no…I walk to the bathroom door and try to turn the knob. Eric
Chapter 10Sabrina Schulz.I cover my face with a pillow.I wake up like a teenage girl who has been spoken to for the first time by her crush. I sit on the edge of my bed and listen to my overflowing heart. Did Erick really say that?'Because you are addicted to Sabrina, so much so that I have already become addicted to you…'I put my hands on my mouth so as not to scream. I realized that I hadn't slept at all as it was almost seven in the morning. After his strange confession, the blonde left my room leaving me with so many questions to ask him. Sabrina left for Mexico last night to make some deliveries and negotiations. At least I will have three days of calm.I finished taking a shower and getting ready.Angie smiles at me as soon as she sees me and I take a deep breath realizing the bodyguard is nowhere to be seen. A playful Adele hugs me from behind, making her scream a bit."Are you crazy, Adele Erick?!" I ask her while breathing heavily. The blonde woman laughed. I sit at the
