"That's right," Claude chimed in, "I would never do something that wicked!”

Juleen refused to believe them. "Hah! No one would ever admit their wrongdoings. You must have figured out that my family obtained an extraordinary herb, and that's why you resorted to such despicable means!”

Adrian knew Claude very well. There was no way he would resort to killing to gain something. The Randell Manor massacre was definitely someone else’s handiwork. However, if this girl managed to escape unharmed, it meant that she knew a lot.

"Ms. Juleen, I can assure you that Claude has nothing to do with the massacre of your family," Adrian said.

Claude was stunned. Adrian's sincere words instantly eliminated all the resentment and jealousy in his heart. He trusted Adrian, and he certainly could not miss out on such a straightforward friend.

Juleen got up from the ground. She bit her lip and her eyes glistened with tears. "Then who's the murderer?"
