The place was exceptionally large, with a passage extending deep into the distance. The reflective ice made the cavern look like a natural mirror.

Adrian observed their surroundings and said, "This place must’ve been much larger before. Water seeped in and turned into ice that filled up this place. My guess is that this cavern would be completely covered with ice if we came here a few years later."

"Yes, it's all water that's been frozen into ice. Water can make its way through literally anything as long as there are cracks. The water here froze when they got in, hence the state of this place. This cavern is akin to a living entity that's continuously growing. The water accumulates and the ice thickens, slowly filling up the cave until it's gone."
