Thea had already informed the Callahans of their return in advance. Thus, as soon as the cruise ship docked, David appeared in a pickup truck. James immediately loaded the things they brought back from the island onto the truck.

Then, James approached Thomas at the dock.

“Grandpa, when will you bring me to see Dad and the rest of our family? Also, I’ve been wondering who exactly my mother is.”

James had never seen his mother before.

As far as he could remember, his family had never said anything about his mother.

His father also remarried, and he had a stepmother—Rowena.

However, his decision brought disaster to his family.

Thomas smiled and said, “Stay in Cansington for a few days. I’ll bring your father to come and see you soon.”

After Thomas finished speaking, he left. As for James’ mother, he did not mention anything about it.

James was looking forward to it.

Soon, he would reunite with his family.
