CHAPTER 858

The journalist and the cameraman ran away from Jane’s punch-packed story. If Rebecca hadn’t stopped her, Jane would have chased them to the streets.

“Do you realize what you’ve done? All the people who were watching it live would have thought of you as a fool and a comedian!” Rebecca blurted angrily.

“I don’t care about what strangers think about me, Rebs,” Jane wrapped her arm around Rebecca’s neck. “They were troubling you, so I took care of them. If they come again, I’ll do it again.” She acted like she was drunk. “I know you’re going through tough times, but sometimes things have to get worse before they get better. I’m sure good days are ahead of you, my friend.”

“Stop the drama. The camera is no longer focused on us!” Rebecca hissed at her.

“I know, but I also know that you’re sad,” Jane said. “Ever since the party started, your brothers hadn’t greeted you. It’s like they have demoted themselves to relative status. I’m sure you’re saddened by it.”
