As Veronica screamed, her mouth was forcibly shut.

“Don’t shout,” Benjamin hushed her. “It’s me.”

Veronica was still shocked because she got the wrong idea. Why was Benjamin here? Was he following her? What was he going to do to her now?

“You shouldn’t have come here,” Benjamin said.

Veronica tried to push Benjamin away, but that wasn’t working, so she bit on his hand.

Benjamin hissed a little in pain. “What was that for?”

“That’s my question! What are you doing here? Why are you trying to shut me up?” she asked. “Did you apply some kind of powder to your hand? Am I going to lose consciousness soon?”

“The heck are you talking about?” Benjamin was saying, and then four workers wearing waiter uniforms entered the room.

Veronica saw them and quickly walked toward them. “Hello, I’m one of the guests. That guy followed me here and is harassing me. Can you beat him up?”
