“Y-You’re joking, right?” Rebecca really thought that the librarian was showing her wicked sense of humor.

“Do you think the police would call me just to crack a stupid joke with me?” the librarian snorted aloud. “If you want to see his body, you should hurry to the scene before the ambulance arrives to take his body for inspection. That said, I suggest you don’t go. It’s not worth crying at a thief’s dead body.”

Rebecca’s gut twisted. She raised her hand and almost slapped the librarian.

“You can hit me if you want, but then I’ll put you in jail,” the librarian said with a smug face. “Then you won’t even be able to see your husband’s dead body.”

Rebecca spat at her feet and rushed out.

“Don’t you want to know where the police caught him?” the librarian asked, but Rebecca didn’t stop.

After exiting the library, she called Brian and told him what happened. “Please, help me. Benjamin might still be alive. If he’s taken to the hospital, then he can still be saved.”

“I will do everything
