There were three laboratories in the moonless kingdom built for different purposes. One was for concept & design, one was for trial and testing, and the other was for production. All the labs had large prisons built under them. All these labs were not accessible for the general public.

The trial & testing laboratory was where most of the slaves were kept. And this was also the laboratory that was the least accessible even among the higher ups in the kingdom.
