“Let’s say you fought us and then managed to kill us all,” Amaal put forward a scenario, “and then what? You think the world will be rid of evil? You do know that evil is not in the world but in the people, don’t you? It’s intrinsic to all of us.”

“I’m not in the mood to listen to your crooked philosophies,” Benjamin uttered in a heavy voice. He was still in his werewolf form, with his body giving off argent vapors. “Get straight to the point. What do you want in return for freeing my wife?”

Amaal faintly smiled. “You sure are impatient, but I can understand. You are young and hot-blooded, after all.”

Benjamin raised his hand and showed his claws. The beasts behind him began growling madly.

“Whoa, chill…” Amaal raised both of his hands, showing no intention of being hostile. “I’m fully willing to give your wife back to you, but let me be clear. I’m not putting forward a proposal not because I’m afraid of you but because I have a lot more to benefit from it.”
