Jane shook her head with determination. "No, Alex! I don't want children!"

She smiled and leaned against his chest. "I'm a woman, Alex. I'm a living being who just got an abortion, it's not possible for me to not be upset. But I'm an adult, I know what I'm doing. I would have to plan ahead for the child if I give birth to her, so I don't want kids. I never thought I would be able to stay by your side for six years. That's six years worth of happiness. I'm not greedy, Alex." She closed her eyes and murmured, "As long as I get to stay by your side, to serve you and watch you, I think that is already the best gift God could give me.
