"Well, I do. I know everything about you," Jackson said.

Serenity chewed on her lips. "He came to look for me but didn't say anything," she explained. Jackson seemed to know everything going on around her. Was she under his surveillance?

"Is that so?" Jackson murmured softly and approached Serenity. "I'm curious. Why didn't you tell him? You're the one who saved him as a kid."

Serenity stiffened at his question.

Jackson raised his hand, his finger gently brushing across her lips. "Tell me… why?" he asked in a low voice. For some reason, it sounded as beautiful as a violin.

Serenity's nose was suddenly a little sore. 'Why? He's asking why?! Didn’t he know?!' Jackson was the reason. She loved him so much that she had tried to bury the memory even though she remembered it.
