Repentance and tightrope

By Monday, and due to the excessive work with which Joseph Storni lived, he had momentarily forgotten what happened on Friday afternoon with his new secretary, and although he did think about her, his obsessive side had been off for at least a few hours.

He was late for the company and a meeting with the Commercial Advisors distracted him until almost eleven in the morning and when he entered his office, his eyes met Lexy, who was silently reading a magazine that the agencies offered.

"Miss Bouvier," he greeted as he entered, and the young woman jumped into her position, frightened.

"Good morning," she replied, smiling at him.

She rose to follow her boss through the office with a gentle walk.

"Is everything in order?" he asked.

"Yes," she answered confidently and looked over her shoulder at her desk. “Well, no...”

Storni looked up at her and lost himself in her straight hair and dull eyes. Somehow or other, the young woman was smiling from ear to ear, but everything about her seemed sad, like a withered flower.

"I'm all ears, Miss Bouvier," Storni replied and sat down at his desk, admiring her severely.

Lexy looked at the surroundings with wide eyes and felt uncomfortable in the man's dark but elegant private office.

“I do not know what to do. I know I'm his secretary, but I don't know my job,” she muttered, shy and anxious.

At this, Joseph jumped from his chair, excited by the little innocent hints of the little girl who kept admiring him with big eyes.

"Those eyes say fuck me, and on all fours, please." He disturbed his conscience and Joseph walked to Lexy's desk, ignoring everything that was happening around him.

"Let's see, beauty, here we work entering documentation," he muttered and noted the red cheeks of Lexy, who was intimidated by the way her boss treated her. “They will bring you at least one hundred daily contracts and you must enter them in our system”.

"Okay," she replied, touching her neck.

He got lost admiring her slim and perfect neck.

"I'm going to assign you a password and ..." He was silent as the office phone rang and he got up from Lexy's chair to take the call. “You should also take my calls and check my schedule,” he said before picking up the receiver.

Lexy shook her head in approval and smiled in agreement at how docile the man sounded and from a distance dreamed herself awake for a few minutes, imagining herself as the efficient secretary, as well as beautiful, very thin and with elegant clothes.

The interesting thing about her dreams is that in her parallel life she was not married or mistreated and Esteban did not flood her thoughts or fears.

"Okay, Lexy, let's go on, I have to go out for an important lunch, and I don't want to delay you," Storni interrupted, and Lexy turned to look at him curiously. I am going to explain the use of our system and I will leave the morning free for you to familiarize yourself with the files and entering contracts.

"Yes sir," she obeyed, her gaze hidden.

"In the afternoon you can start registering the contracts and reviewing my schedule for Tuesday." Any questions?

"No, I don't think so," she said uncertainly and smiled alike. “Can I call you if something urgent happens?”

"Something urgent?" He cursed and took advantage of Lexy's carelessness to look at her ass.

"I bet a thousand dollars that he doesn't wear a bra?" He interrupted his conscience and when Lexy turned again, carrying large filing cabinets in her hands, Joseph's eyes locked on her chest and only to discover that his conscience, the one that seemed more perverted and awake than he was, was right.

By the white silk of the blouse that the company demanded to wear, the perfect curve of her breast was drawn, before Joseph's eyes, a beautiful shape that he longed to touch and suck.

He cleared his throat nervously and moved a couple of steps away from her, who insisted on approaching without being aware of what she was creating in him.

He latched onto the girl's desk and shamefully hid his erection, cursing himself in thought and hating himself for such an awkward moment.

"When I register the contracts, I must file them here, right?" she asked.

"Very cunning," he said quickly, and when Lexy turned to find her chair, he fled to his office. "Lexy, I have to make some calls, excuse me," he yelled from his office door and closed the door behind him.

He leaned on his desk to breathe better and touched his face, seeking to understand why the heat felt.

A fire that did not understand where it came from and that even manifested itself on his skin.

He rubbed his erect member over his pants and sank down into the chair.

He was in no condition to pull down his pants and masturbate to calm his sexual appetite, so he was forced to forget the situation and think in numbers and not Lexy and how pretty she looked in company clothing.

When lunchtime came, he fled without giving much explanation and avoided looking at Lexy, her tight skirt and the curve of her breasts drawing on her blouse.

He ran away cowed and excited, thinking that perhaps it had been a mistake to hire Lexy for an impulse of the moment, an impulse that was going to keep him excited most of the time.

His lunch date was enjoyable and helped him clear what was happening in the privacy of his office.

He closed some contracts with a new businessman and traveled back to the company with ease, clearer than ever.

Along the way he thought about the problems Lexy would bring to his daily and monthly performance and seriously considered her dismissal.

He hated himself for him quick decision and looked for at least three excuses to fire her.

Excuses that did not sound serious or logical, but that he had among his thoughts until he entered the office he shared with the girl and his angelic face forced him to forget everything.

Lexy was already behind her desk, working seriously and luckily, she wore a slim vest that concealed her symmetrical breasts. Joseph sighed with relief and entered the place with a smile on his lips.

"Weren't you going to fire her?" He disturbed his conscience and left it in oblivion when she greeted him.

"Mister Storni, how good you came back." she said.

She was glad and received him with a big smile. She got up from her chair and watched him with big eyes.

“Something new?” He muttered and felt comfortable with Lexy in front of him.

“None, sir. I've already entered thirty contracts and I plan to finish all those pending,” she confessed and Storni nodded, in accordance with her performance.

"You can't fire her. Look at her, she's adorable.” His conscience continued, the one that never helped him at all.

"I'm so glad, Lexy, but we have to talk," he emphasized seriously, focused on one thing.

Lexy's smile disappeared after the man's request and although she hesitated a few times to speak, she could not say anything and only obeyed the gestures of her boss, who invited her to the privacy of his office.

They settled around the desk in silence and looked at each other curiously.

"Look, Lexy, when I hired you, I tried to be as objective as possible," he explained and tried to match some coherent sentences in his head to fire her.

But she went ahead with her truth, and everything changed for him.

"Mister Storni, I am very grateful." People don't take me seriously, not even my parent’s do.” She laughed. "With the university, I put together some expenses, so this job comes as a ring to my finger." She spoke. Storni wanted her to be quiet, but he couldn't stop her. Joseph's curiosity about her made everything change. "I know it is only eight months, sir; but don't worry, I am going to work with effort, and I will do everything you ask of me." She spoke.

She was very excited.

"We are screwed, now you are not going to be able to fire her because she has just said that she will do everything you ask. And that includes extra services”. His consciousness mocked and Joseph smiled realizing he was right.

"Why do you say that people don't take you seriously?" he asked. She giggled childishly.

"If I told you, you would have to fire me." She joked.

"I'm not going to fire you." He said and mentally slapped himself when he heard what he had said to her.

"My mother says I'm like a tightrope, sir," she confessed, and Joseph froze with her sentence. “She says that I am unstable and dangerous. People do not want to be near me because I do not give security.”

The young woman nervously touched her hands and kept her head down as she waited for Joseph's response, which never came, and Lexy felt confident to continue.

“My mother says I'm a joke because I left two universities halfway and my grandmother says I'm crazy because I want to get married, and I haven't even slept with other men.” She spoke.

"The two universities have given you knowledge in different areas, Miss Bouvier, do not consider yourself a joke because it is not," Storni said, sweating as he imagined the little sexual life that the young woman had in her history. “And I don't want to interfere with your marriage, but your grandmother is right.”

"No, you don't want to get in the way, but you do want to fuck her." Ironized his conscience.

"Thank you, Mister Storni, you are very wise," the young woman whispered, her cheeks red. “For now, I just want to raise the money for my wedding and pay off my debts, and the future will tell me how things change,” she assuredly cheered, and Joseph had the words to continue.

Those were the questions that the girl asked herself every day, especially at night, when she could not sleep peacefully and woke up between her cold sheets, drawing a future that she was not at all sure of.

"Marriage is for life, Miss Bouvier, are you sure of such an important decision?" He asked, and Lexy looked at him fearfully. “I know there is a divorce, but sometimes it takes a lot of work to separate ourselves from that person we have chosen.”

"Are you married, Mr. Storni?" She dared to ask.

The man was as her reflection, only in a much more handsome and masculine version.

"No, Miss Bouvier, and I don't intend to," he confessed without hesitation, and watched her intently.

"Are you saying you don't plan to do it because you haven't met the right woman or for some other reason?" she asked.

He forgot his fears, his apprehensions and freed himself to go further.

Storni analyzed her answer very well and, although he felt the seconds fly against him, he dared to say what he thought and felt without realizing that his life was getting out of control.

"Because I have not yet fallen in love and I doubt that something like this will happen," he revealed, smiling, like a mockery, as if in his life there was no time or space for romance and for this, love, a feeling that for Joseph did not exist.

Lexy raised her eyebrows impressively and inhaled quickly, her body moving in action.

"And how do we know if we are in love, right?" She laughed, looking anxiously everywhere. “Sometimes I think I feel affection, but then I think I am in love, and I have been like that all day. I think they are the nerves of the wedding.”

She laughed again, but unlike her other giggles, her nerves were reflected even in the jolts she gave to accompany her false laughs.

"Maybe you are blind," said Joseph, pointing to her lip, the one that no longer had makeup, the one that showed the truth of her reality, that reality that she tried to hide from her parents and painted for everyone as an ideal romance.

Lexy's fingers silently traced the edge of her mouth and her gaze dimmed to the rhythm of her movements. Suddenly she ran out of funny words and phrases, it was over, including her desire to keep laughing.

"Go home, Miss Bouvier and rest," Joseph interrupted, rising from his chair to settle in front of her, but with a much shorter distance. “I know it's not my business, but you don't deserve what he's doing to you,” he whispered and settled his hand on hers, which rested on her thigh.

Lexy shook her head and although she struggled not to be so unstable, she sobbed out of breath.

“There is a big difference between love and affection, and you still have time to know what you feel for him.” He went on and his fingers slid down her cheek, traced the edge of her neck and found her ear and short hair. “Whoever loves you does not hurt you, whoever loves you respects you and cares for you; loves you and values you.”

Lexy rested her cheek on the palm of Joseph's hand and stood there, silent and feeling petite, as his words and advice brought new meaning to her life.

Joseph was admired by the fragility of the girl and wanted to hug her tightly to comfort her, but he did not want to appear invasive and remained still, his heart beating frenzy inside his chest.

"You're used to being hurt, Lexy." The girl thought on the bus on the way home, remembering her childhood.

“You are used to being touched with hate and not love, you are used to breaking and the biggest problem is that you have allowed it for a long time. When are you going to say enough!?” She wondered angrily, walking home, those walls that scared and reassured her at the same time.

"Just a little more". She answered herself and her gaze met her parents and fiancé, who were chatting in the main room and did not even observe or greet her when she crossed the threshold of the door and the words and caresses of Joseph Storni echoed in her head and body once more.
