As excited as Clara was at that moment to finally learn what had happened to one of her mates, she could not act recklessly. If there was something that Clara could do very, very well was to run fast, so sneaking out of Will's study without him noticing was quite easy. After dismissing her son a she-wolf brought her some hot water and some cloths so she could clean his body, and an ointment they had made from herbs that helped to heal faster and lessen the pain. Clara had gotten used, since she had given birth, to always having her attention divided, half on whatever she was doing and half on her puppy, so most of the time she knew what she was doing or what was going on around her. So even though she was talking to the wolf just on the other side of the door she knew something had changed inside the room.
