131. A jealous and scorned woman

He pinched the bridge of his nose wearily and turned to reach for his phone in the glove compartment, thinking it might be the other workers in the minivan.

"Estela" dialed the name on the electronic display. He debated whether to hang up and continue the impending conversation or flee once more.

He decided to hang up, but no sooner had he turned to speak to Ophelia again than the annoying melody began to play insistently.

"You should answer; maybe it's an emergency," Ophelia said worriedly.

"Wait a moment so I can help you; there are paper napkins in the glove compartment," he added, looking at the mess he had made on Ophelia's body, who now looked away embarrassed.

Elijah kissed her cheek and exited the car, closing the door behind him.

He adjusted his pants, which were also full of compromising and sticky things.
