Kyle hadn’t wanted to ask, but he knew Vance Burgges had survived the freighter disaster—even though he had been the one to manipulate the crane, dropping the container in an attempt to kill them. He also knew that either his father or perhaps his grandmother was handling the situation, but he didn’t want to probe further.
