Levi pressed his lips together in frustration. He didn’t even know why he was so upset. He had never been a rude man, much less impolite, but there was something about that woman that drove him crazy. However, he couldn’t bring himself to apologize as he should have, because she got into her car and hit the gas before he could say anything.

Levi looked at the guy writhing on the ground; he wasn’t even worth giving a warning kick to. With what Noémi had done to him, he’d be peeing himself for the next three days without being able to help it.

That night, he didn’t sleep, and for the record, it was because of the baby, not her! Or at least that’s what he told himself to feel better, but the truth was that he kept thinking about her.

And Noémi was thinking about him too, but when Danna asked her about it the next morning, she just sighed tiredly.

“Your little game didn’t turn out well, sis,” she muttered as they walked toward the cable car.
