CHAPTER 184. I WILL MAKE YOU MINE. A gut feeling

Weeks passed while everyone tried to console him, until one day his sister Chiara approached him.

"I think my friend might be able to help you."

"Your 'friend'?"

"Well, my personal toy boy, but he has connections, and if I ask him, he might be able to find out something about what happened," Chiara said, hugging him. "If what that woman said is true, you at least need closure."

What Loan felt inside was a glimmer of hope and the strength to move forward. He met with Jhon a few days later; his work as a Director of one of the specialized divisions of the CIA definitely put him in a good position to access reports.

Finally, a few weeks later, Jhon handed him that envelope.

"Is it true?" Loan asked, seeing the somber expression on his face. "Did that woman not lie to me? Is it true?"

Jhon nodded sadly as Loan pulled out the death certificate one of his men had obtained.

"I’m really sorry," he murmured. "Everything seems to indicate that ye
