     As much as Smarald wanted to get around the situation, it didn't work. What excuse would she give if she was hurt? While Michael treated her, passing the product to disinfect her wound and then putting a protector on it, it was visible in his small gestures the love and affection he felt for her person, but there was something beyond those feelings.
