Sorry for the delay in getting these last chapters out. It ended up being a lot longer than I planned (I had to split it into two chapters), and it was a lot more difficult to write than I anticipated. Partly because it's difficult to accept this is the end. (Emotions!) But also, knowing the feelings of the readers were split down the middle—for days, I debated leaving the Xavier issue vague/open-ended. Ultimately, I went with my original plans, the thing that made the most sense—at least the way I see and know the characters and their universe. Thank you to all you patient souls who have been with me from the beginning as I've been writing this monster and those who joined along the way. Today is September 1st, which means it has taken me a year and a day to write this beast of a book.
