If they’re evil enough (in fiction) often the bad guy dies in order to be redeemed. And perhaps, more importantly, would someone who was capable of such evil (and perhaps who was evil for such a long time) truly have such a change of heart? Or are there people who truly just never learn, never grow, never earn redemption?

SemajI know people can change and if they are genuine then they should be able to receive redemption. It can’t be total redemption, they don’t get to exist as if they did no prior wrong. They have to acknowledge that they did something and it was detrimental to another. They have to know the weight of it
SemajI think that if people are inherently evil and continually choose to be that then that is what they are but I also think that some people that are deemed evil or bad are doing so as a direct response to something maybe something traumatic maybe just their circumstances.

There is a natural balance of good and evenly. One CAN NOT exist with out the other. I believe evil can atone for their sins. The punishment should fit the crime as well as the sincerity of the asking forgiveness. That “person” or “evil entity” must realize that trust must be built….

I think redemption is always a choice, one as big and deep as the damage caused. One can't take back all the wrongs made but surele can take responsability, change their ways and compensate at the best of their abbility. Rebirth can be symbolic too, you fight against your impulse and choose wisely
