74. Keeping the distance

It's been hours since I got home, and Lucas isn't here or answering my calls. I want to tell him everything that happened and that there are no misunderstandings between the two. I try to stay awake, waiting for him to arrive, but my eyes close with how tired I am, forcing me to go to rest.

The following day:

Dammit! I scream inside as nausea forces me to rush out of bed and go to the bathroom. I barely manage to get in front of the toilet and turn my stomach.

"Bella... are you okay?" I hear Lucas ask me, but I can't turn around to see him because my stomach turns again. "Our son is giving you a pretty tough battle, huh?" he comments animatedly and holds my hair to help me.

I can barely compose myself, and as I do, I go straight to the sink to brush my teeth. Lucas doesn't mind following and staying behind me; I can see his reflection in the mirror. He has messy hair and puffy eyes. However, seeing him wearing only black boxer briefs makes all my attention go straight to his perf
