Calista, who was about to tell the three hostesses to sit down, froze mid-smile. Felix's words carried an unmistakable challenge.

As Calista hesitated, George's cold voice cut in, "Are you deaf or lame?"

The manager knew her customers well. Some big shots could be managed, but others were untouchable. George and Ryan belonged to the latter category.

"Do you need backup, Mr. Zeller?" George asked after Calista left, making the other girls hold their breath.
