Blake thought, 'Liam is the editor-in-chief. Those who didn't know might think I'm not here to work but to enjoy my time in the company.'

Liam tapped Blake's forehead with his fingers. "This is approved by me and is part of your job. No matter what you do, whether you're busy with work or leisurely at the office, it doesn't matter to me. I just want to be able to see you every second of every day!"

Anxious, Blake pinched the edge of the bowl filled with cherries. "I really don't understand why you seem to have been unreasonably nice to me since our blind date. I don't think we've met before that.

"Have we met before our blind date?"

Liam's gaze was intense as he looked at Blake. 'She really doesn't remember it.'

He grabbed a few tissues from his desk, wiped his hands, and said, "Do I really need a reason to like someone? You have a boyfriend now, so I won't force you to answer this question of mine. I have time, I can wait for you."

The word "wait" implied an uncertain and distan
