When his intensified aura covered the blood-red ghostly hands, sounds of sizzling echoed through the air. The ghostly hands began to melt away at a visible rate, just like the earlier Blood Specters.

This was to be expected as Adrian was a powerful person capable of vanquishing the sources of these Blood Banes, and the Chaos Blade was a weapon meant for slaying these very sources. Combined, their power naturally amplified the effectiveness against the Blood Bane Energy.
