The men panicked. Now that they were cornered, they could only wait for an opportunity to escape.

"We won’t tell you anything," one of them said, "If you have the guts, come at us. We’ll see who walks out of here in one piece."

They wanted to continue to resist, but this was not an option in Adrian’s books.

Adrian looked at Claude. "Go help Lionel. He’s injured."

Claude was shocked. Bucky had been protecting Lionel, so did they lose to those men?

"I’ll go find them!" Claude hurried off.

Seeing Claude trying to leave, one of the men took out a bow and arrow from behind his back and took a shot at Claude. Adrian saw this, and of course, would not allow it to happen. He leaped into the air, caught the arrow, and flung it back at the shooter.

"You people are lawless!" Adrian rebuked, "Why turn to such means to kill an apothecary?!"
