Jerome opened his eyes wide, raising his weapon just as his savior trapped within Enigma City did. He stopped his backward momentum and stood up straight. In the face of the attack from the Eight Hollows, he radiated with a cold hue as he fended off attacks from seven weapons.

He then lifted his head, revealing his reddened eyes along with the sounds of explosions.

"You're dead!" one of the Eight Hollows shouted.

"I'd like to see you try!"

Clang!

That person's weapon slashed at Jerome, with the others following suit. They thought Jerome was doomed as their assault left him with little room to react. However, Jerome swung his sword, and one of the members was beheaded.

His lifeless corpse fell out of the air.

Jerome's retaliation left the other members stupefied, abruptly stopping their attacks. The sequence of events was so quick nobody had been able to anticipate this move.

Meanwhile, the man within Enigma City had also managed to sever the zombie's head.
