Getting into the car, Hayden sniggered and said, “Tonight is going to be a feast. I assure you that you’ll miss it after having it once.”

Mya rolled her eyes at him. “You make it sound like we’ve never had a scrumptious meal before. Do you think of me as a glutton?”

Hayden took them on a tour around Bortuton, showing them the city’s beautiful night scenery. Just as he had mentioned, the front doors of the houses here were left wide open. Some houses were left unlocked despite being empty. Though Bortuton was small, the people were virtuous.
