“What?!” Spider exclaimed, stopping in her tracks. “So, you’re saying that all the cyber attacks were caused by Davies?”

“Don’t stop moving, you blockhead,” Shadow smacked her friend’s head. “We are in the basement. One mistake will cost both of our lives.”

“Ah, my bad.” Lucia smiled sheepishly.

“In the morning, I had a meeting with my father and Mr. Turner,” Garaine explained. “The Davies seems to be up to something big. The corresponding cyber attacks, attack on Mr. Turner, attack on me and this tight security- I think it's somehow related to the mystery of the basement.”

“You are worn out, aren’t you?” Lucia wanted to know, noticing the change in her gait pattern.

“I've been working non-stop since yesterday,” Garaine let out a weary smile. “It's natural that I’m kinda exhausted.”

Lucia held Garaine’s hand, making the other look at her.

“We should’ve postponed our mission if you aren’t feeling good.” Her voice was contoured with concern.

“Aish, you worrywart, I’m not that exhaust
