After returning to the Turner's Mansion, Shadow took James and his unconscious wife to the guest room. An anxious James gently laid his wife on the bed. Kneeling beside her, he held her hand gently in between his palms while a drop of tear escaped from his eyes. He was so distressed that he didn't notice Shadow slipping her hands into her pockets to take out the antidote.
"Here," Shadow extended her arm, giving the worried husband the antidote. "Feed her this medicine and she will gain her consciousness within an hour."
"Are you sure?" James Lee asked, holding her wife's hand tightly.
"You have no other option than to believe me," Shadow replied in a stoic voice. She was that type of person who never liked to repeat her words twice. "Take it and fee
An anxious Weylin almost searched all the rooms, only to find them empty. Don't tell me something bad happened when I was absent! Weylin gasped at the thought. Shaking his head vigorously, he tried to think straight, pushing away all the negative thoughts. Suddenly he remembered that he didn't check the balcony. Rushing, he opened the door of the balcony. He heaved a sigh of relief upon finding Garaine standing there, putting her hands on the railing. "Garaine, what are you doing there?" Weylin asked, standing beside her, making her flinch. "Ah? You are back?" Garaine subconsciously wiped her eyes before looking at her husband.
The gentle sunlight, soft and diffused, entered the room. The shafts of sun rays fell on a peacefully sleeping Garaine, disturbing her sleep. Unconsciously, she put her hand on her eyes, trying to get some more sleep. The sweet melody of the chirping birds reached her ears, making her move in her sleep. Slowly, she opened her eyes. Suddenly, the scenes of the previous day flashed in her mind, making her remember her situation. She had such a sound sleep that she forgot her situation for a moment."Ah, when did I fall asleep?" She mumbled, rubbing her eyes. "I thought I won't be able to sleep the entire night. But it's great that I fell asleep." Abruptly, her eyes fell on the blanket on her body. Frowning, she looked at the blanket. "Huh? As far as I remember, I didn't take it when I lay on the bed. Did Mr Turner…" She looked around the room only to realize that Weyl
Garaine Turner sat on the beach, enjoying the gentle sunshine. She gazed at the beach stretching alongside the waters while enjoying the sight of the waves which came onto the sand, soothing it. She smiled, enjoying the percussion of waves that sounded like a lullaby. Her feet rested on the soft golden sand which provided the right amount of comforting warmth."Garaine, how long are you going to sit there?" Weylin said, holding two coconuts in his hand. Extending his hand, he gave one of the coconuts to her. "Have some coconut water. It's good.""Thanks," Garaine smiled a bit, taking the coconut.Holding the thin straw between her fingers, she brought it near her lips, taking a sip of the coconut water. As the sweet, nutty flavour of coconut water s
"Ah...I am so tired," Garaine let out a deep breath before flopping on her bed. Snuggling into her pillow, she closed her eyes for a brief moment. "I really wanna take a nice nap." "Then take a nap," Weylin said, walking inside the hotel room. "I'll wake you up after an hour." Unbuttoning the first button of his green tropical print shirt, he sat comfortably on the couch, leaning against it. Running his fingers through his hair, relaxing. "What are you going to do now?" Garaine asked, glancing at her husband while propping on her elbows. "Oh, I have to go through some files," Weylin replied, closing his eyes for a brief moment. He kept running his fingers against his sc
Garaine was looking on the themed restaurant, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to Weylin Turner, she went to a special themed restaurant for the first time in her life. Holding the designed menu card in her hand, she was going through all the items on it."May I take your order?" The waiter asked in a gentle tone, flashing a professional smile at the couple.A confused Garaine glanced at her husband, asking for help. Understanding her hints, he decided to order. As he was almost done ordering, he glanced at his wife."Do you want to add anything?" Weylin asked."Please add a plate of garlic shrimp," Garaine smiled, eyes twinkling with excitement.
"Well, Mr Turner, can I tell Lucia that I am married?" Garaine asked, fidgeting, sitting on the couch of their hotel room."Hm?" Weylin, who just came out of the bathroom while wiping his face, gazed at her. "Alright.""Huh?" Garaine's eyes bulged out at his affirmation. She didn't expect him to agree that easily. "Is it really okay if I let her know?""Yeah," Weylin replied casually, not minding her surprised facial expressions. Helping himself with a glass of water, he stood facing her while resting his back against the edge of the table. "We are in Hawaii and it has been a day since we got married. So it's okay.""Thank you," Garaine smiled. Weylin Turner was sleeping peacefully, snuggling into the soft cushion of the backrest of the couch. The sun hasn't risen yet, causing the prevalence of the chilly atmosphere. Covering his ears with the blanket, he moved a bit. Suddenly, he felt like someone was moving around in the room. Initially, he ignored the sensation but the more he ignored it, the more the frequency of the steps had increased. Opening his right eye, he glanced at his surroundings only to find his wife walking around, wearing a short gown. "Hm? What's up?" Weylin gazed at her with droopy eyes. He was still half asleep as he tried to figure out what she was doing. "Wake up, Mr Turner," Garaine smiled, eyes sparkling with excitement. Chapter 39
"Mrs Turner!"Within a blink of an eye, Weylin pulled his wife by her hand, hiding behind a giant rock. Slipping his fingers into her hair, he pulled her close, causing her head to rest on his chest as if he was trying to protect her from the cruel world."Are you alright?!" The young master asked, his voice contoured with worry, cupping the back of her head gently."Y-yes," Garaine stuttered, still in a daze because of the sudden turn of events. She could feel the loud heartbeat of her husband as if his heart would jump out of his ribcage. Subconsciously, she clutched his shirt, forming wrinkles on it.Again the gunshots were heard, making Weylin scowl.
