Half an hour later, Yvonne met Jim at the entrance of the hall. She immediately went up to him.

"Grandpa, where have you been? I asked Ms. Long, and she said you had arrived a long time ago."

Jim was still a little disoriented. He looked at Yvonne in a daze for a while before coming to his senses.

"I—I was in the bathroom. I'm old. There are things that just take time."

Yvonne furrowed her brow and sized Jim up. "You don't look too well. Are you hiding something from me?"

Jim suddenly remembered what Chuck had told him. "You can't let Yvonne know about this. If not, Mark would easily get suspicious."

Seeing Jim in a daze, Yvonne went in closer. "Grandpa, what happened?"

Jim pushed Yvonne away. He avoided her gaze and said curtly, "You silly girl! Must you make me spell out that I'm constipated? Since when have you seen a constipated person looking well?"

Yvonne smiled. "You have a point."

"Alright. Aren't we here for a party? Why are you stopping me from entering?"
