Jade remembered her promise to Yvonne. She lowered her head and quickly walked away, intending to walk past Jane.

However, Jane didn't let her go. She signaled at her bodyguards, and they stopped Jade in her path.

Jade panicked. "W-What are you trying to do?"

"You don't remember me anymore?"

Jane slowly walked over to Jade. She said maliciously, "I remember you. You're Howard Hough's daughter. Have you really forgotten that we met? Do you need me to refresh your memory?"

A chill ran down Jade's back. She was rooted to the spot. She couldn't help but think back to the closed trunk of the car.
