At night, Elvin knocked on the study door.

"Come in."

Receiving permission, Elvin entered. "Mommy."

Yvonne placed her documents down and looked at Elvin. She asked in concern, "Are you afraid of being alone? I'll come to you once I'm done with this document."

Ever since Elvin's incident, Yvonne had planned to spend more time with him. Although Elvin had been strong and not shed a single tear, he was still a child. She was worried for him.

Seeing Elvin coming to her, Yvonne's gaze turned tender. She hugged him in her arms.

Elvin looked up at her. "Mommy, why has the evil man not come to see you recently?"

"He's busy." Yvonne smiled.

"Do you want to see him?"

"No." Elvin lowered his gaze, looking troubled.
