Selena took a deep breath and quickly stood up.

“Wait here. I’ll get you some water.”

Selena ran to the next room and found an unopened bottle of mineral water.

It was a common brand. Selena guessed that the staff did not have time to keep the box of mineral water in the storage room yet.

Selena did not even look at the expiration date, opened it, and poured it into the glass of hot water.

Then, she looked at the instructions on the medicine box and found that it was a painkiller of a foreign brand.

Selena broke off half a tablet and put it in Chance’s mouth.

Chance’s long eyelashes trembled slightly. Before he had time to say anything, he lowered his head and ate it.
