twitched. He pursed his lips, eventually tapping her on the head without saying

anything.

Kate continued to

look at him. She couldn’t tell whether Benji had agreed to her request. As she

thought about this, Benji walked over to Darius. She watched him expectantly,

but it quickly turned into disappointment because Benji didn’t do as she’d

hoped.

He sighed softly,

then said, “Look at how innocent she’s always been. It’s all because of me…” He

didn’t get the chance to finish his sentence because Kate interrupted him. She

stood between the two of them with her back to Benji, and he frowned, about to

reprimand her.
