It was her own decision not to tell Lucas, so now that things had come to this, Serenity had no regrets.

"I'd like to go home," Serenity told Jackson.

"Okay," Jackson smiled. He had already accomplished his goal for the day.

The reason he brought Serenity to the banquet was to let people see her. He wanted the high society of Solaria to know that she was his companion. That way, no one would dare to mess with her!
