“Thank you?” Weston chuckled while fixing his gaze on Jacqueline. His son didn’t want to leave the Valor family because of her. “I’m not accepting your gratitude.”

Jacqueline looked at the man in front of her puzzledly. Weston looked familiar to her, but she didn’t realize there was a close resemblance between Frederick and him.

Weston looked at Frederick. “I hope that the next time you come to me is when you’re willing to leave the Valors.”

Jacqueline was stunned when she heard that. She immediately pulled Frederick behind her, like a mother hen protecting her chick. However, she was only a five-year-old child, and she was as tall as Frederick.

“Fred wouldn’t want to leave my house! Who are you to say that?” She had a hunch that Weston would snatch Frederick away.

Frederick cut Weston off before he could say anything, “I’m not leaving no matter what!”
