The guard who had been advising Lisa quickly shut his mouth and said no more. The two of them then treated Lisa as if she were invisible.

Lisa felt an increasing chill enveloping her. The words she had wanted to say to Terry, the reasons for her visit, all seemed to slip away from her mind, leaving a blank void.

She walked back to her car slowly but didn't start the vehicle to leave. Instead, she just sat there and looked toward the villa.

Maybe... Monica was just there for a short visit, or perhaps... it was merely some unfinished business between White Maple Group and the Hart family...

Lisa kept making up excuses for Monica's presence, but convincing herself became increasingly difficult as time passed.
