Lucas's eyes hooded as he stared at the phone that rang over and over again, his mind struggling as he resisted answering Serenity's call. Not knowing how to face her, he sat in the living room and let the phone ring without picking it up.

Why was Serenity calling him nonstop? She seemed so anxious. Was she calling for Peter? Was she going to plead for Peter?

Lynette had just come in not long ago and saw the caller ID when Lucas' phone rang.

"Hey, Lucas? Why don't you answer the phone? Serenity is calling you," Lynette asked, pretending to be confused.

"Maybe she's calling because of Peter's matter. I met her at the gate earlier. She kept saying that she wanted to see you and that she had something to tell you. I didn't expect her to be so perseverant for Peter!" Lynette said, deliberately claiming that Serenity wanted to see him for Peter.

Just as she expected, the look of struggle on his face faded. Lynette was overjoyed to see Lucas pick up the phone and turn it off.
