Chloe pondered and decided to call Byron to tell him about her suggestion.

However, of course, she did not mention going alone with Byron.

Byron agreed immediately. “Okay. I’ll spare some time. Let’s go and visit the old principal. I’ll ask if Rosie is free. She can check on the principal’s condition. You know how good her medical skills are.”

All Chloe could do was give up her intention since Byron said so.

“Sure. Miss Jacobs is so skillful in medicine that she might be able to treat the old principal. That’s great! Let me know once you've confirmed the time. I’m available any time.”

“Alright.”

Chloe’s expression immediately turned gloomy when Byron hung up the call. She did not want to see Byron and Rosalie acting lovey-dovey before her.

Frustration struck her.

“You always miss the chance! Chloe, just give up. Aunt Melody has changed her mind. You'll have no chance. You should just wish them the best. Isn’t that better?”

The more she convinced herself, the sadder she felt.
