Naya’s voice could be heard from the door of the emergency room.

Daniel and Ava lifted their eyes to look over at the same time. Naya looked like she was in discomfort, but her complexion looked fine. She did not look like a patient who had just passed out because of stomach pain.

Naya’s eyes shone as she looked at Daniel. Then, she turned her head to look at her mother. “Mom, why are you here?”

“I called your parents,” Daniel explained.

Ava smiled and leaned against Daniel. Then, she said, “Miss Mendez, you looked like you were in so much pain in the restaurant and Danny was worried something bad would happen to you, so that’s why he informed your parents.”

Naya pulled the corners of her lips into a half-smile. “I see. I’m sorry for making you worry, Danny. I’m so sorry.”

“It’s good that you’re fine.” Daniel’s expression looked indifferent, and he did not have much else to say. “Rest well. Ava and I are going back.”
