Gael was on the phone when Emilia barged into the director's office. He glanced up at her with cold indifference.

Grace felt a twinge of sadness. When Emilia first arrived in Brookesville, Gael had acted like a chivalrous protector. Now, he no longer cherished it at all after he obtained what he wanted.
