Emily immediately blocked her, saying, "What are you trying to do? My son is already asleep!"

Sylvia snorted coldly, then looked at Max. It was only then she noticed scratch marks on his neck.

"Would you like a hug, Max?" Sylvia put on a sweet and gentle smile.

Max opened his arms, and she embraced him tightly. She then unbuttoned his collar, revealing more scratch marks. Her expression grew grim. She sat on the couch and helped him remove his clothes. To everyone's astonishment, his body was also marked with numerous scratches.

"Who did this? Who could've done such a thing?" Sylvia sobbed.

Seeing Sylvia in tears, Brook grabbed Craig. "You scum! Who's responsible?"

He seethed with anger, yearning to tear Craig apart.

Craig glanced at Max, his eyes devoid of emotion as he silently shook his head.
