Steph woke up from her dream with those words still echoing in her mind. It was a relief to wake up and find out that it was just a dream after all.

Maybe she wasn´t ready to talk to Brian, or maybe he would reject Steph again and her subconscious was preparing her to face disappointment.

But Steph knew that it was too late to cancel now. Not to mention all the trouble Mandy and mr. Jackson had gone through, in preparing the papers and contacting Brian´s school to arrange things.

No, she couldn´t give up, Steph decided as she went to pour herself a large cup of coffee to wash the bad dream away.
